Water Absorbent Fibers

Low water absorption capability is one of the essential characteristics of polyester fiber in normal mode. Since polyester fiber in some applications (such as hygienic) the ability to absorb more water is an advantage. With the changes in the production process and the use of additives, water absorption capacity can be increased in fiber.

Applications

  • Use in medical textiles like napkins
  • Woven textiles and nonwovens used in medical
